Forth with today's Education updates, Apple tree released a new version of iTunes today to allow the syncing of interactive iBooks textbooks to your iPad and to presumably add new features for the "iBooks 2.0" app and the updated iTunes U plan. On my install, the 107MB download took an additional 257MB of storage infinite. Go downloading folks.

What'south new in iTunes 10.5.3

iTunes 10.5.iii allows you to sync interactive iBooks textbooks to your iPad. These multi-touch textbooks are available for purchase from the iTunes Store on your Mac or from the iBookstore included with iBooks two on your iPad.

iBooks textbooks are created with "iBooks Author" — now bachelor as a costless download on the Mac App Store

iTunes 10.5.3 requirements…

Hardware:

• Mac computer with an Intel, PowerPC G5 or G4 processor and 512MB of RAM

• To play Standard Definition video from the iTunes Store, a 1.0GHz PowerPC G4 or faster processor and 512MB of RAM is required

• To play Hd video, an iTunes LP, or iTunes Extras, a 2.0GHz Intel Core 2 Duo or faster processor and 1GB of RAM is required.

• Screen resolution of 1024×768 or greater; 1280×800 or greater is required to play an iTunes LP or iTunes Extras.

• Broadband Internet connexion is needed to apply the iTunes Store.

• Apple tree combination drive or SuperDrive to create audio, MP3, or back-up CDs; some non-Apple CD-RW recorders may also work.

• Apple tree SuperDrive to back upwards your library to DVDs; some not-Apple DVD-RW drives may also piece of work.

Software:

• Mac Os Ten version x.5 or later

• Safari 4.0.3 or afterwards

• 200MB of available disk space

• iTunes in the Cloud and iTunes Match availability may vary by country.
